Can anyone tell me part numbers for wheel bearings?
I have a 300BH from 1991. It has Dexter 3000 lb axles. Tag says SM5A (or SN5A) serial 0059075. I have had TT for a couple of years. It sat up for 10 or so years before that. I have NO idea when axles were last serviced. I ma planning to replace, or at least repack bearings. Does anyone have a part number. I would love to do the job in one session, without a trip to the parts store in between.
Thanks

Thanks, all. So...most parts stores will carry what I need? Also-by "grease seals" do you mean the caps on the outside? It's been a while since I worked on a car that the bearings weren't integrated with the rotor, and I don't remember.

No. The item in question is a lip seal that is a press fit into the bore on the backside of the hub and has a rubber lip that rides on the outside diameter of the spindle. The lip of the seal should be installed pointing in towards the bearing. The cups of the tapered roller bearings are also a light press fit into the hub.

On a similar note, my Jayco 24FBS has gone through wheel bearings, brakes etc and the tire as it wore the inside tread down. This has happened twice, once I was touring from Canada and got all the way to Baton Rouge and took it into a Jayco dealership who replace everything. They said the axle was fine. 18 months later same thing happens on the same wheel. So I took it into a local dealer in Canada and they are ordering a new axle and all the other parts. I am thankful I paid the $1200 for the extended warranty so my cost is $100.00
