can i convert gray tank #3 (washer) to a useable tank?

Hi all,
I have a late-model 2021 Eagle 330RSTS that came with 3 gray tanks. the #3 tank is designated for the washer. we don't plan on installing a w/d, so that tank is wasted. is there some way to convert it to an overflow for either of the other gray tanks? thanks.

yes. i added a gate valve on the outlet. i closed it and opened both grey tanks and it doubled my grey capacity.

X2, a twist on gate valve would be easiest depending on how your RV is plumbed. Take a look underneath, if your plumbing is accessible, connecting both drains may be easily done.

I think this was mentioned in another thread about grey tanks and gate valves but from experience I can tell you that if your tanks are not on the same plane that system will not work well. You will have one tank, probably the lower one, backing up into the sinks, shower etc because of a lack of pressure to push water to the other.



In my case both grey tanks emptied from one drain but they were not level with each other.

thnx for the input guys. we only have one sewer line for all of the tanks and already have a gate valve on it. we'll ask when we pick the rig up next week. it's been at the dealer's all winter having warranty work done. we had quite a list after only one summer of use! we were very lucky my DH tried to squeeze in one more shower before dumping the tanks and that I happened to be outside with the dogs at the time, because i noticed the water pouring out underneath the rig. apparently, Jayco failed to glue up the drainpipe. had that happened after the warranty lapsed, it would have been a costly repair.
