Can you run AC constantly ?

We are going on our first 3 week trip (visiting 7 national parks) and the weather is going to be in the 80s-90s, I was wondering if we can run our AC 24/7? Or do you need to shut it off at times?

Yes. Every time that we travel to Florida in the summer, it runs from the time we set up until the time we leave for home. No issue running weeks at a time.

With that said, I do shut mine down to clean the filters periodically on extended trips. But as far as the unit is concerned, it can run 24/7.

X2, I clean the filters about every 5-7 days of use. Or the AC starts to freeze up. Dustier the environment requires more frequent cleanings.

Wow recommend pull the outside cover off and clean the coils. I do this every year or two.

Have a great time.

When the daughter & grandkids come, we found it better to have them stay in the camper behind the house (I have a 1 acre lot). It works good for little ones going to bed early, & with windows all covered, they sleep later in the morning.

But point being I have found last June that I leave the main AC (15K unit) on "cool", 75 deg, & fan set to "low" (NOT Auto & Low), the compressor does not kick on as much. Fan is on low all the time & helps keep the air moving & camper cool. When it is over 115 deg F. outside (like last June when they stayed) I have the front AC (13K) set to "cool", 78 deg & Auto low for fan. If in dead of afternoon, "sometimes" that 13K AC will come on 2 or 3 times between 2 & 5 PM.

But for those who live in high humidity areas that can/will cause the coil to ice up. They should use HIGH for the fan.
