Can you run you AC for 3 days in a row?

Headed out on a trip and it’s hot out. Wondering if I can run my AC for 3 consecutive days without turning it off?

Mine been running everyday for the last two months. I have it set at 90 during the summer in the AZ heat. What are your concerns??

I don’t think mine has a built in thermostat so it always runs in full regardless of temp.

We camped in Florida for 6 weeks and never turned ours off. If cool in the evening it might not run but it ran a lot in the daytime! Now we have a window ac and it is a residential model and it is made to run unattended.
Only thing over a long term is to check your filters and watch the roof for leaves, etc. on the fins up there.

Yup, no worries.

I've run BOTH my units almost continuously for about 72 hours more than once ... on the generator. Boondocking three days on a Texas Beach in the summer ... it's a "wet heat"! LOL!!

Do you have an owner's manual? If not, you can do to the manufacturers website and download one. What's the make and model? It should have a thermostat of some kind.

I've never seen one without a thermostat of some type. Internal stats only turn off the compressor, the fan will continue to run as far as I know.

If it’s on an automated system like Vega Touch you will not have a separate t-stat. You will have at least one temp sensor mounted on a wall. Looks like a little black button. I have one sensor for each AC unit.

If yours is a window unit then the thermostat is one of the two dials. The other controls the fan speed. Not very sensitive but short of replacing the whole thing not much I know to do. If you figure something out please post. Also, the window unit is very noisy and I wish there was a way to quiet it down.

If you have roof air than the thermostat is on the wall between the closet and bath doors.

PS That thermostat that comes with the trailer is junk, a digital model keeps the furnace and roof air, if you have it, closer to the set temp. The cheapo isn't very sensitive and overheats or over cools every time.

A window unit is about 1/2 as quiet as my dometic rooftop. I'd give it away if it wouldn't rain in my trailer thru the open hole. (kidding)

I want to install a mini-split this fall.

Super helpful answers. Mine is a dometic food unit. If a thermostat it is hidden and the fan always runs. It did work great all weekend
