Canopy hail damage

We were hit hard by golf size hail, canopies were retracted and rolled up tight. My fellow campers were encouraging me to check our awnings close to insertion site for any types of holes. Sure enough, there are small slits close to the insertion site on the trailer, an Eagle 330 RSTS. Anyone with this experience?

Not with our awning, but a BBQ grill cover after a nickel size hail storm' Tiny slits that weren't obvious until I went to take it off.

Comprehensive insurance coverage should cover hail damage.

We had hail damage on old 5th wheel, I did not suspect awning damage but the Insurance adjuster had me roll it out and pointed it out to me. Check yours out...

Yes...last year. Both the bedroom and kitchen slide awnings were damaged. Make sure to check your roof carefully. We found pin size holes but they were fixable. And the MaxxAirs and sunlights were destroyed.
