Cap for thetford smart tote

Bone headed move today and dropped my cap for my smart tote down the campsite drain. On top of that I thoufgt I would just use the cap on the campers holding tank and so filled up my smart tote and then realized it did not fit because it had the wrong connectors. Now I have a full smart tote and nothing to cap it with. Does anyone have any suggestions. The closest parts store is about 45 min away.

If your cap was the kind with the four pins, maybe a good size Walmart might have the Camco sewer hose caps in stck.

Zip lock and grey tape at least to haul it and dump so it doesn't spill. Tape hose to the top so it's higher level then tank. I agree with above. Check at Walmart. Thetford should of put a lanyard of some sort on the cap. Poor quality.

Well what I discovered was that I had a connector with the 4 pin arrangement on both ends that was designed to be used to connect the hose to a tight sewer fitting. So my cap from my camper sewer line can now fit on the hose. Next problem is that I apparently filed it to full and when towing it with my truck it popped out and drug on the ground and perforated it really well. So unusable again unless I find some awning repair tape.

Maybe I should move this to the humor thread as it is funny now (but not so then)
