CEILING FAN INSTALLaTION

The wife and I want to install a ceiling fan in the small bedroom of our 2013 Whitehawk 30 foot DSRE. When we talked to the dealer he says he can't get one, then he says it will be $500 to $600 to install a $150 fan if it will even be possible. On the up side he can install a 15,000 BTU ac in the small bedroom no problem for $1600 plus are minus a hundred or so.

So has any one installed a fan in the bedroom of DSRE if so what problems did you have? I can push a 1/2 inch or more on the soft ceiling so is there wood between the ceiling and roof?

You would have ceiling rafters ( 2X 3 I believe). No clue where you could pick up power, and would the fan hang too low and become a danger to people ? I would think it's no worth it just get a small fan you can clamp onto a cabinet door or sit somewhere. Ive only seen ceiling fans in 5th wheels in the main area where your ceilings are high.

Good Luck.
