Clean roof, & Flex Seal?

I have 2 questions I would like to ask, TKS in advance for your replies.

1. Can I use just dish detergent to clean the roof on my 2015 Jayco Jay Flight 33RLDS, or is there something I should get from the dealer.?

2. Can I use Flex Seal on my roof, or is it advised not to?

TKS of the help everyone.

Dish soapis a common detergent for cleaning the roof. I have no proof but have been told it will remove the wax off the sides of the camper.

I have no experience with flex seal. Buddy used it this pring to patch his tt roof. They do advertise it, for use on RVs

What do you want to seal on the roof?

Dicor is a proven winner but I've been hearing good things about Flex Seal. A Tile guy working on a shower on youtube put it to the test and had very good results. Check for petroleum in it though. Not good for those roofs.

I watched a few RV roof maintenance videos for both EPDM & TPO types. Spic & Span with a medium bristle brush seems to be one of the recommended cleaners. I’ve got TPO roof, and spic & span works for me.
Not sure about using flex seal though. Why not use the Dicor self leavening caulking that’s recommended?

Use Eternabond tape. Tried and true, and prepped right you'll never need to touch it again.

I wouldn't use flex seal. A friend of mine worked were they packaged some of it up for sale an I helped him put it on his old hunting camper. Put a good coat on it an it still managed to leak in places. At least he didn't have to pay for it

I was in electrical construction for 38 years. Flex Seal was the joke of a lot of break/lunch rooms with the guys.
