CO monitor keeps going off
I have a 2010 297BHS and the CO monitor keeps going off, any idea how to fix this? Should I replace it? went off over the weekend 3 times in 30 minutes, and not the first time this happened.

Either low batteries or you have a CO or propane problem that needs dealing with.
What do the LED's on the cover have to say?

x3 on the low battery issues.
Also I have gotten false alarms from other chemicals such as spraying insect repellant next to the screen door where the alarm is and also I am pretty sure that the alcohol in the antifreeze has set if off before as well. I remember when winterizing the unit and after filling all the traps, flushing all the lines etc. (with the windows and door closed) the scent of alcohol was strong and then the alarm started singing.

Batteries are strong. Seems to go off in the middle of the night and very random.

Again, check the LED's on the panel. There will be an explanation posted on the cover.
You COULD have a malfunctioning appliance or other fault that the thing is designed to warn you about. Ask it what it thinks is wrong. Stop guessing and check it.

check the replace by date, my 2010 had a replace date of 2013. Is it an all in one propane/CO or is the CO alarm on the ceiling?

I had that when I stored a couple of un-capped partially used 1 lb. propane bottles in my trailer.

Verify the voltage at the unit. They go bad regularly and are easy to replace.

Mine was doing that. I brought home a meter from work and verified there was nothing wrong in the area.
The faulty monitor then got unplugged. I bought a battery powered from Walmart and installed it next to the dead one.

Why not go ahead and replace it cuz it's 6 years old (if it is the original). Then you will be able to eliminate that question right away.

I had this issue on my first trip as well. Happened at night multiple times. We had stopped at a rest stop for the night with no hookups and I turned the propane on to run the heat. The batteries got low and the heat stopped working, so the CO sensor went off until I turned the propane off. Another time it happened when I had the fridge running while traveling. I figured the roads were relatively flat so the propane could keep the fridge going, but we hit enough bumps or inclines to shut the fridge off and the CO sensor went off again. I know people are saying you should replace it, but to me the sensor seems to be working just fine. Make sure your TT is plugged in, open your propane tanks and run the heat. Also, turn your fridge on GAS. If your fridge GAS light is steady and the heat is running, you should not get a CO alert. If you do, then you might need to start checking hoses and possibly the sensor. Just my two cents.

Something is wrong, I wouldn't use the camper until you figure out what it is. Buy a battery powered (9volt) unit and see if that one reacts the same way.
I personally wouldn't be able to sleep in my camper if there was a potential issue like this...

Had to replace mine for the same reason, past expiration date, no problems since then. Wrote the new expiration date on the cover plate...

I looked at one in Lowes that just plugged into an outlet with a small battery backup but decided to stay with the original design.
I would not feel safe with my family in it without some type alarm.
Lots of discussions on JOF. Here one: http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f7...arm-23909.html

I have have no idea as to how true this is but it does make sense.
Do you have any pets?

Our furnace had a small crack in the heat exchanger, the CO monitor functioned as it should have.
