Condensation on LR ceiling and on AC

We were camping in Door County Wisconsin during August and noticed condensation on the AC unit and surrounded ceiling. Is this normal? We have the 15K AC unit and the glacier package. We used towels to wipe the water off. Since my wife has allergies to mold, we don’t want this to become a problem. As anyone else had this experience? If so, how did you remedy it? Thanks for your help.

We had the same issue. Could see condensation lines on the ceiling where the duct work ran.

Make sure all your windows are shut, and bath vents are closed.

Also, if you have not run the AC in a while, there is extra moisture in the bedding/furniture that will have to be removed.

Lastly, make sure you have the condensate water coming off your roof.

Air conditioners need to have the condensate like checked annually or more often. This includes home air conditioners. If that like gets plugged up than the water in the AC unit will go somewhere it should not. Like inside your camper, inside walls, into the furnace at home, etc. All bad places for water to go. Bugs, lizards, mold, all can plug up a line.

If the like is clear than it is condensation due to cold air in a duct or blown onto the ceiling as mentioned before. Not sure what to do about that as it is a design flaw.
