Control Jensen AWM910 from Outside?

I have the Jensen AWM910 CD Player/Radio with outdoor speakers that came stock with my 2013 26BH. Does anyone know if this unit has an optional remote control or some other means of controlling it while outside? I like having the ability to listen to music outside but it is annoying to have to go inside to switch channels.

Thanks!

Ours came with a remote control, but it doesn't work from outside. You have to go all the way in and literally point it right at the stereo

Is yours the AWM910? If so maybe I just didn't get a remote.. If the unit has a remote then in theory you could just get a remote control extender..

At home I use a Leapfrog IR to RF extender by Terk. Works great, we keep all our AV components in remote closet and the IR to RF allows you to use the OEM remote. Requires AC power on both sides. If you have AC power available, you could plug one into an outside outlet and the other in an outlet near you Jensen device.

As for a remote, my '12 originally didn't have the remote. I didnt know it should do I never asked. Then mysteriously the DVD stopped working so under warranty Jayco/Jensen replaced the unit. New unit is the same model as the original but it came with a remote.

This seems like so.much work. On new bots they just put a second radio control unit on the rear or the boat for when your just relaxing in shallow water these radios also are water resistant and can Handel IPods and music on flash drives. So why is the RV industry so far behind

What does a new boat cost? My brother recently partnered with a couple others on a Beneteau --- six figures. That will allow mfg some gross margin to sacrifice for nice AV equipment.
