Question Converter Question

Was wondering if anyone would happen to know if my '02 Jayco 31FKS Designer TT has a 3-Stage battery charger included within the power converter ???

I plan on looking into it this weekend and getting pics to post. I'm not sure what kind it is, but will have that info and will post here.

Any insight is appreciated !

That would be great if it did come with one but I doubt it. Most stock units are only single stage units. This is why if you keep you TT plunged in all the time you need to be diligent with monitoring the water in you batteries so that they do not dry up.

This bring up a good question. If you were going to upgrade the converter/charger, what would be the best option?

look on the back of the converter and see if it even has the plug to plug one in. Your info bundle should have the model number converter you have-- if you dont have those manuals still I bet the model number is on the box.
Use this link to check...

Mine just came with the Progressive Dynamics 45amp single stage converter-- but it had the phone jack plug to retrofit a Wizzard. I installed one day 2 of my ownership.

Converters

Speaking of converters I have an electrical problem that I have traced to a possible converter problem. How in the world does one get the converter out to check out the electrical functions. I believe a wire has come loose or I have a bad breaker in the converter box.

I just checked mine and it is the Progressive PD9280 which has the Charge Wizard built in initially. I lucked out on that one it seems.

If your going to keep yours plugged in look into getting some Water Miser battery caps-- they will keep you from boiling the water out of the batteries. I only check mine about once every other month.

What if you unhook battery if it is hooked up to electric for long period of time?
