Converter questions

I have my jayco on a seasonal campsite. I am only using it on weekends at the moment. I have to pay the electric myself not included in seasonal price. I have only the refrigerator running when I am not there. I haven't had the need to run the ac but only a few times. When I got the bill it was $100.00 compared to my daughters rv parked next door whose bill was 25.00. Only thing I can think the battery was bad and the converter kept trying to charge it. So it would be running all the time. Does that make sense or am I wrong in thinking that. If that isn't it what would spike my electric bill to be so high.

The converter would never use that much elec. They read your meter wrong.

Agreed. If the converter pushed an extra $75 of hydro into your battery, you would have a battery fire.

Look an see if it is a new meter. Could be a meter issue. You can request the power company to test the meter to make sure it is calibrated correctly if it's the old style dial meter. Even if it's an electronic meter they can test it. Or they just read it wrong
