Couch Cover

I didn't think this really belonged in the "mod" section and I don't have any pictures yet but I thought I would share this (it has probably been shared before but I am kind of new ). We have a small dog who camps with us and she loves to jump on the furniture! I was a little concerned with her dirty paws on our small couch in the camper so I purchased one of those couch protectors that just lays on the seat, covers the back, and covers the arms. The "loveseat" size fits the small couch perfectly! I can take it off and wash it (it washes beautifully!). I bought it at Ollie's Bargain Outlet so I think it was under $20. I found a picture of a similar item online:

My dog is cleaner than the grand kids so that might be on my list. Tunce always wipes her feet off before coming in.

I have 2 on both my couches since new. Keeps the kids crumbs off and the dog hair too. They are well worth the $.

I want that! So where do you get it if you don't have Ollie's?
Happy RVing,
Jeff

Happy RVing,

You can find them online at Walmart and Target and some more expensive places. Search for "Pet Couch Cover" because if you just search for couch covers you get slipcovers also.

This got me thinking about our unit and the dog, although I'm more worried about claws on the faux leather instead of dirt.

Wayfair has the same one that's pictured above:

So does Amazon, I think:
Amazon.com - Innovative Textile Microfiber Sofa Furniture Protector, Chocolate - Sofa Slipcovers

Although both are a little more than the $20 mentioned above.

Kohl's on sale, Christmas Tree shops, Jcpenny on sale. If you wait a week or two someone will have them on sale for between 20-30 bucks. Not worth 50 that some try to charge IMHO, use a throw until you find them.

I bought one from Walmart. It was on clearance, so they may not carry them any more. I found that it slides around while traveling. My dog circles and scratches before lying down, so it was always in a big pile - sometimes on the couch; sometimes on the floor. After about a week, I folded it up and stuffed it behind the couch. My sofa has the "leatherette" fabric. I've found that it vacuums easily, and is (surprisingly) resistant to the dog's scratching. I occasionally wipe it down with a little leather conditioner. It may not do anything for the leatherette, but it makes the trailer smell nice!

All this is good info - thanks to Brownie and DebKen for the info. We've been wondering about getting one of these. Our couch will be leatherette. We kinda want something we can remove when company comes, so the couch stays clean, 'cause vacuuming while we're in the woods is probably not feasible. :-)

Picture (finally)

My couch is not leatherette. Mine is velour and I, too, was worried about the dog's nails as well as her getting the couch muddy. Mine stays in place when traveling and just needs a minor adjustment after we use it all day. I took a picture this weekend:
