Counter extension

After 3 months in Mesa fight the very limited counter top space, when we got back home I added a little more space. I used a bamboo cutting board from WM and the hardware from an RV dealer and came up with this. It's not a lot more, but every little bit helps.

my wife just bought a bread board that covers the top of our stove
so when we aren't using the stove, we have this added counter space

You can never have enough counter space.

Very nice! I'm thinking about doing the same thing. I have an oak panel left over from my last woodworking project. Good to know I can get the hardware from an RV dealer. Rockler or Amazon might even have it online.

Great mod!

Oooooooo.......I like that. Not quite enough counter in mine. That would work great with the way our sofa is.

Guy who owned my TT before me, he took out the couch and put in a large extended countertop all the way over to the wall made of oak and large tiles. Its pretty well done, not like I'd do it but wife says leave it be. We cook a lot when we are camping and yea, kids ahve bunks we woudln't use the couch space anyway and store stuff in bins under it like dry goods. Just need to figure a way to make that more attractive underneath...without going to the raised panel doors and all that! maybe a curtain and shelves for bins. We'd be using the table for counter if we didn't have the added space.
