Cover

I wanted to purchase an Adco cover for my 26BH.
Can anyone recommend to go either with model
42243 size 24'1" - 26'
Or model
42244 size 26'1" - 28'6"

Thank you

Chompersoni- I just purchased a Adco cover for my Jayco. Don't rely on the manufacturer's measurements. You will want to include the length of your trailer including the rear bumper and spare tire. Do not include in your measurement the propane tanks. My trailer measured out to be 25'10" and the 24.1-26 fit perfectly. If in doubt call the manufacturer before purchasing. Hope this helps you out.

Why cover? Mine stays out in the elements, but I regularly wash the roof and wax the TT. After 2 years it is still in great shape. Not only do not want the hassle of a cover, I don't want to walk on my roof every time it needs to come off or go on.

I never thought of the walking on the roof aspect of it.
I should maybe wax it for the winter and leave it out.
I live in Wet Coast in Canada and concerned that we will have a lot of rain over the winter season.

Fellow west coaster I cover mine. I measured it and directions said if trailer is 6" within max dimension get larger size. I did this and it is kind of big. I think the one that measured out the same would have been better. I believe the more water you can keep off the trailers the better.

I dont know. It rains all the time throughout the season I use it. Rains plenty of times while actually camping. If I decided on a cover it would be to keep snow and ice off the roof. But I still dont think I want the hassle of covering a 33 foot camper for less than 5 months. I covered cars in the past and found that a hassle. lol. Then to store a giant cover someplace that it wont get moldy the rest of the time or bug/mice infested ? I guess its not for me.

I bought an ADCO tyvek cover last year. We have a 186BH, so I went with the 20' cover. I spoke with the Camping World sales rep who suggested I go with the 20' cover and not the next size. It was a little snug, and the roof tore with the snow on it. Now it was partly as I did not get out to clear it straight away. I know someone who had the next size up on their trailer and the cover was way to big. Just make sure you cover all or any "sharp" edges. I bought Dollar store tennis balls with X's cut in them to go over the gutter spouts on the corner, as well as really taking my time putting it on. I just patched the cover this weekend and it will be going on tomorrow.
If it was me I would go to the closest size. Just remember to leave the cords loose so that it can breathe. The cover is good, it was my lateness in removing snow that was the issue.

Do not know if these pictures will help. I put my cover on today after winterizing yesterday. The trailers is just shy of 19 feet. The cover is a 20 foot cover. You can see it sags slightly at the rear. But even then is just long enough.Click image for larger version

I'm still on the fence if I want to get one but I have spent hours doing research and woudl pull the trigger on a Goldline cover. It is more costly but the product integrity and warranty lead over all others.

Just pulled the trigger on an Adco cover. There is so much rain here in the Northwest that I feel better having one. Thanks for all the replies to my post.

What's the best cover for the Northeast long winters....snow, rain, wind? Will the Adco do the trick at $300 for my 25' TT or should I go Goldline for $539?

I would buy a cover for sun protection and/or to keep it clean if you store near and airport or under trees. If the cover is really water-tight, you can make mildew problems.

We bought our 22FB in July of 2012. Bought an Adco cover for it in November of the same year. Washed and waxed the TT then put on the cover. When I unwrapped it this spring the TT still looked new and shiny and ready to go. The cover did suffer some damage due to the extended rain gutters rubbing holes in the corners, but a quick application of duct tape and the cover is holding up well this year. I also wrapped the gutters with bubble wrap this year so I think it will be ok. Looks like I will be able to get at least three seasons with the cover and at around $300, it is money well spent for me.

Anyone notice some scuffing on the exterior RV finish!

A friend had bought a cover for his fiberglass exterior TT and after 2 winters, the finish was scuffed and damadeg because of the wind that was making the cover rub.

I'm thinking of getting one for my new TT but not sure yet... On my previous I had nothing, was just washing and waxing (plus roof cleaning) every Fall and Spring...and after 6 fyears, the fiberglass finish was still shiny and smooth (except for the curve at the top of the front end)
