Hey guys-
I found a great deal on a cover and was contemplating buying it. I know some say not to cover them, but I like the idea of covering over the harsh Michigan winter. I looked in the manual and didn't see anything referencing this.
Anyone have info on this? Also, if covering, how do you prevent gutter spouts from ripping the cover?
Also, if you cover, what cover do you suggest? Found an Adco tyvec cover but it gets average ratings. Says breathable and not waterproof.
Nice thing about the cover it will help prevent a tear in the roof if you feel the need to brush/shovel the snow off the roof. The roof membranes are very thin and damage really easily.
I am undecided if it is worth covering or not. Right now I do not have to worry as mine sits inside all winter.
I don't bother with a cover. If I did, I would use tennis balls with slits cut into them to slide over the gutter spouts to provide a nice rounded corner edge.
