Cracking and popping noise on new TT

Our new 22fb is really noisy when I first hitch up and move it. Cracking and popping noise, it's very annoying! Has anyone else experienced this? I noticed some rust on my leaf springs, I wonder if this is the cause???
Thanks,
wkc

It's perhaps the hitch... what WDH do you have? It helps to apply a little grease to the ball, and the slots where the bars attach. If you have trunnion bars, don't grease the cams but you can put a little petroleum jelly on the cams.

I wish it was the hitch quahog. That would be an easy fix. It's definitely coming from under the TT.

You could jack up one side of the trailer, and spin the wheels by hand to try and locate the noise. How old is the trailer? I just had my 2010 serviced... brakes inspected, cleaned, and adjusted, and the wheels inspected, cleaned, greased and seals replaced plus tires inspected and balanced for $193 at a local Truck/Auto Repair shop. It was well worth the money.

Having the same issue till I noticed the other day all the floor bolts on one side were extremely loose. The problem seems to be solved.

It's a NEW trailer gentlemen. Good idea nucleuscracker. Will I be able to access floor bolts with thermal pkg in place?

I think he ment the four bolts that hold the axle to springs. But i was thinking the same thing as Quahog my new hitch pops and cracks real bad never heard a hitch make so much noise. but if you say its the trailer then the springs or axles are the only moving parts that I know of. But since its a new trailer you can take it back and see what dealer says.

Actually I was referring to a bunch of bolts that are just under the inside along the outside lip of the trailer. That make any sense? LOL! I'm responding via my iPhone so hard to give a better description. I had maybe 4-6 bolts?

I gotcha nuclescracker and I do appreciate your mobile input. Thanks SO much to all for the valuable advice. You've given me a good path to follow. Now if I can just get past the scorching 100+ degree heat outside I'll be good. Ouch
