dead battery

I forgot to disconnect my battery in storage and it died. Is it ok to charge from dead through the trailer? or should I disconnect and put a charger on it?

thanks
Chris

I'd put it on a charger then make plans to buy another one shortly

If it's a true deep cycle, you may be able to bring it back to life. Recharge it and then load test it. If not, read above post.

Not so worried about bringing the battery back. More on over loading the charger on the trailer

I would hook up a 2 amp automatic charger separately and charge it.

You need to take it to a battery store or auto parts store and have it "Load Tested" to be sure of the battery's health, anything else is a wing and a prayer.

Hope you can bring it back to life, but usually they're toast. If they ever freeze, toast too. Good luck.
