Deposit for new Eagle HT TT

Another newbie question. What's the normal deposit amount when ordering new TT? The dealer is asking for $5K; seems high to me.

10% is not unusual for a special order. Dealer has to pay for it in full before it is shipped.

There is a new normal with a lot less give by the dealer and a lot more take. How long is the delivery? You may be able to negotiate less now with an additional deposit 30 days before delivery. But honestly, it's a dealer's market right now.

The dealer says 4 - 6 months for delivery.

We ordered a 274CKDS around the first of December and it is due offline tomorrow, 2/15. Pretty well loaded with options, and $1500 down. They initially wanted at least $2k, but dropped down when I balked.

Wow, I'd try negotiating that down. Holding my money for 6 months seems excessive.

$2K for our order of a 264bhok (fully loaded spec). This was back in January. Lead time is beginning of May. I am hearing from this forum that orders are coming in sooner, but am not holding my breath. As soon as we take delivery I will let the forum know.

Thanks all, I'll counter with $2K.

I would stay in touch with your dealer. Supply chain constraints are killing everything. Our 264bhok order was cancelled (Jayco called me directly) and the model is currently discontinued. We found a similar spec for more with the help of Jayco but man was it a last minute scramble.

I would expect 4-6 months minimum unless is a unit consolidated to the build schedule.
