Dinette

What is better to seat 4 people? U shaped or regular dinettes. In particular between the WH 28DSBH and the Jay Flight 28BHBE.

Thank you

I would say personal preference. Regular dinettes may be a little easier as the inside people don't have to slide around or move the table to get in like they do on a U shape.

Dinnets

I have the U shaped and it is a real knocker getting in and out of. Might be good for small kids, but my wife and I find it difficult. My advice is for you to try both and see what type you like best.

Dinette

I have the 28BHBE with U shaped dinette. If two of the people you're trying to seat are either small or children, no problem. But there's no way DW or I fit in the back of that dinette.

One of the main problems is that the table is too short vertically. The table basically sits on the top of your thighs, and it's also pretty tight front to back too, but we're big people, so that doesn't help.

Don't forget in the BHBE, you can take the storage ottoman out and use it like a bench seat on the other side of the table. 4 people can fit pretty easy that way, though it might be a little cozy on that ottoman... Depends on preference. All that being said, I think we've had 6 people in that dinette before, at least 3 were small children...IIRC?

I prefer the Udinette. The table goes outside. We use the dinette more as a couch than anything else. If we [U]need[U] to eat inside we have a small folding table we can use. I never did like the regular dinette (or eating inside).

Thanks everyone.
I thought sliding to the back could be a challenge. The idea that it could be used as a couch is a bonus. Do both sides slide out? I do have this table. I wonder how that would work with the seats slid out?

Is the shower usable in the WH 28DSBH?

Depends on the size and agility of the people...

I haven't had any problems sitting in the u-dinette on any of the sides. I would say I'm pretty average in size, maybe a little on the short side. DH is 5'11" and hasn't had trouble either. It's useful for us though since with small kids it's handy to be able to help them eat, cut up food etc. But yes I think it's all personal preference.
