direction of new scissor jacks

Hey there, I just bought some EAZ-Lifts and was wondering what you all thought about the correct orientation of these. I am hoping that putting on 4 would help with wobble. With that in mind, I'm thinking of making them 90 degrees out of phase with each other.

You will be stable regardless of the orientation.

I've never seen them in that configuration before, only 90* from the frame member, and the fronts at a 45* when it was the only way to mount them, and those were mounted to the tongue out of necessity. If you try it, let us know how it works out.

They're designed to be mounted at 90° (perpendicular) to the frame for maximum lateral stability. If you're mounting one rear at 90° and the other rear at 180° ( which is what it seems you're proposing) , not sure what that would accomplish. 'sides you'd have to crawl under the rig to crank the longitudinal jack up or down. The 45° degree idea might work, however.

For the record, while this may help slightly, it won't stop the wobble. Your money is better spent on something like JT Strongarms. Your camper is moving due to the suspension, as well as slightly rocking back and worth on the wheels.

I use a locking wheel chock that reduces the amount of rolling motion between the tires. I also use 2x4's against the frame, tightened with a ratchet strap. This isn't mine, but its an example of what I am talking about. https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...ers-37539.html
It works similar to the JT Strongarms, using lateral force to prevent (but not totally eliminate) some of the motion. When we are staying for longer than a weekend trip, I'll use the 2x4 braces. We really notice a difference in the stability with them.

Mine were installed by the dealer. The front pair are in line with the wheels along the frame members. At the rear they are mounted on a cross member and are perpendicular to the trailer.

Is it more stable? I don't think so, just needs to be that way to mount them on frame members.

I treat them as stabilizers. I level the trailer with Andersen leveler under one wheel and the tongue jack. If parked on gravel or grass you have to touch up the jacks every day.

All 4 of mine are at a 45 degree angle on my 33RBTS. I never had anything but 90 degrees to the frame before. No stability difference with this config...
