Question Dirt Wasps!

Does anybody have any good way to deal with these determined creatures of mayhem?

Screen material and a glue gun are how I sealed most of the critical areas of my trailer, such as refrigerator inlet door and battery box. I also sealed the bottoms of my propane tank bays with screen material and metal screws. Commercial screens are available for the hot areas where typical fiberglass screen material won't work, like furnace outlets and water heater. If you still have your "mouse hole" for the shore power cord, do the conversion to the locking/removable cord.

If you're looking for a way to keep them away from the rest of the trailer....a sealed garage with a ray gun to zap them if they make it inside?

They're pretty tenacious. I keep them out of the critical areas, but pretty much let them have the run of the rest of the place. I'll go through and knock down their nests during the winter when they're not active. Smart, huh?

Put one of these Hot Shot® No-Pest® Strip in your garage or other non-living area and pests are gone. Works great for me.

Remove all dirt from a two mile area surrounding your trailer!

I took a flea collar, cut it in pieces, and stuck a chunk in every hole on the RV. It works for paper wasps.

We purchased these 4 years ago and have not had any bug issues so far. As ShawnR said, flea collar in the fridge area and hot water heater area also.

I dislike the ones that build their houses in my equipment with dirt!

Thank you I'm going to get the screens for the hot areas, and try to plug up the others with aluminum screen.

I have read their young will return to nest in the same areas and Cypermethian spray will keep them away. I'm going to try that also.
