We use the blue Walmart for all water coming into the trailer and a Culligan connected to the sinks faucet for drinking and cooking. I guess it is sort of a two stage setup.

I Haven't tried the Walmart filter yet. I bought a filter housing from Home Depot that takes a household filters and put a hose connection on both ends so I could connect it into the line. I can select whatever filter I want or need. When connected to the RV park system it supplies the RV. When I fill the tank I can put the filtered water in the tank.

In a 100 gallon RV water tank, prior to filling it with water, I add 4 oz of bleach.

Like many others, I also use the inline filter on the hose coming in. In addition to price, IMO the bigges drawback to the under sink version is it only filters water for that sink, but you brush your teeth and shower in unfiltered water? I guess you could also brush in the kitchen sink, but seems kinda odd if you don't have to.
