Does anyone have this roof?

Went to RV show today and one booth had a vendor that did a spray-on roof.

Has anyone had this done?
If so, can you comment on the quality and if the roof is everything these guys claim?
My trailer is new, but when the day comes that it needs a new roof, I would like a good one. The rubber roof concept seems a bit flimsy to me.

I know 2 who have had it done. One on here is edatlanta. He is always talking about how good it is. I think his is called Flex-Armour.

I would look into it if I needed one. Hope not soon though.

I would absolutely consider this if my membrane roof every gets so deteriorated or damaged that it needs replacement.

If you live in Arizona, you know all of the spray on stuff is good for about 5 years and that’s it. Midwest, or northwest your mileage may vary.

I don't remember the weight exactly, but for my 5'er it was approx 250 pounds. This isn't an exact number, but was not worth worrying about IMHO.

Every time it rains I sit under my RV Flex Armor roof and enjoy being dry and quieter. And zero caulking to worry about.

Not all spray on roofs are the same. I doubt Flex Armor, which has a lifetime warranty, would have opened a facility in Mesa, AZ if their roof coatings wouldn't last more than five years.

Edatlanta, how long have you had it?
Glad to hear you're happy with it.
Our trailer is still new, but we want to keep it until its really old and really ugly, and we want it to stay in good condition.

I think Flex Armor is legit. If we decide to keep our Feather longer than 10 years, we will seriously consider the treatment. We will evaluate things at the 5 year point. For now, we have engaged in a comprehensive Eternabond project that I think is a solid measure to take. It's not as thorough as the Flex Armor, but I am doing the work for $150; at least our roof/wall seams and roof fixture seals will be tight. Flex Armor wanted $3,000 to do our roof. I just do not see our spartan model TT as worth the investment of a roof redo. But like I said, if we are going to keep the camper for say 12-15 years, I will look into Flex Armor or a similar application in a few years. Maybe the price will come down a bit.

Right now, our plan is to get 10 years out of the Feather and move on to a better made product. Currently, we like what we see in the Outdoors RV products.

One of my coworkers, put it on his old 5ver. Never had an issue, he never worried about caulking ether. He also had them spray a strip in the corners, covering the corner seams. Looked a little weird, but it was 100% sealed, for life.

Is the tipo roof the rubber roof or the spray-on?

I had it installed in January 2016 and couldn't be happier. Check my previous posts and you will find lots of info I posted before and during the process of selecting RV Flex Armor.

What happens if the AC needs to come out? Or the vent fan fails and needs replacing?

Does the RV Flex Armor need to be replace there? Or does one have to start caulking again.

Is caulking still required around the seams at the edges and around the AC and other inlets that go through the roof?
