Does installing roof solar void the 2020 3 yr structure warranty?

It seems weird that something with "solar prep" would void the warranty if it was installed but I could also see why it would.

Well roof solar is supposed to be one of the new available options in 2020.

Oh I’m sure they could find a way to get around any warranty if you’ve “modified” something. My roof was in mint condition, I had Eternabond taped all my seams and put fresh Dicor on it and still do on a schedule. I wanted roof solar and decided I didn’t care about a measly 3 year warranty. Unless you have manufacturing defects or don’t take care of your roof you’ll never use that warranty. My roof still looks like new and it’s over 3 years old now. Do what you want to improve your rig the way you want and take good care of it like you should. These warranty’s need to be taken with a grain of salt and come in handy only if a major appliance craps out within its warranty period. And extended warranty’s....don’t get me started on those. I fell for that trap and now realize what a joke it is.

When I installed my SOLAR in 2012 on my 2013 Eagle, I contacted JAYCO and asked if my warranty would be voided. Their response was that the only thing that would have affected the warranty was if the SOLAR install caused a leak in the roof from the mounting brackets. It would have no affect on any other part of the TT.

If you look at today's models they come equipped with the SOLAR connectors preinstalled on the roof from the factory. That in itself is an indicator that they are allowing SOLAR installs.
