Dome Light Removal

Jayco jayflight SLX 145 rb

How does one remove the dome light cover of the interior lights?

I have tried squeezing, prying, screw driver and paint key in 4 notches.

Appreciate the help.

The clear lens will separate from the white base. Slip a thin bladed knife between the lens and base and work it gently until it pops off one side.

The LEDs inside may not be replaceable, depending on the brand of your light, if that's why you want to take the lens off. Let us know if this works.

X2 as JFlightRisk mentioned. However, I prefer to use a credit card instead of a knife (when\if it will fit in the crack). ~CA

I had a hard time removing the lenses also so I made a tool that works very good for the purpose. I took a small pocket type straight blade screwdriver and heated the blade end with a torch until red hot then bent about 3/16" of the end in a 90 degree. I just hook the bent end in the small notch and pull outward and down in each notch to get one side of the lens loose then pull the other side off.
