Dometic A/C

I just purchased a travel trailer in Jul. I have been camping twice since then and each time the Dometic AC once up to temp would keep short cycling. IE, it would come on and run for like 45-70 seconds then shut down for about same length of time and continue on this cycle for about five complete on and off cycles before it would run normal (on for like 5-6 minutes and off for same) for 1-2 cycles, then start short cycling again. According to Jayco, it is because I have the thermostat set on auto vice manual. Come on, really. Anyone else have this problem with a Dometic AC and if so, what was done to fix the problem. I have had two other TT and they had coleman Acs and never did they do that. Thanks.

Dometic warantee?

Just go right to Dometic - they know the systems and could probably help you with a solution.

We have had this happen since we purchased out trailer new in 2018 and based on what I've heard from others this is bothersome but normal. When I notice this I shut the A/C off, wait a few minutes and then turn it back on again. Actually I don't think it's the compressor cycle but the fan. I installed a new EMS with a indoor display. I'll be camping this week so next time it happens I'll confirm if it's the fan only or the fan and compressor.
