Dometic range question

I recently purchased a new 2019 24RBS. It has a Dometic 3-burner range. I’m a bit puzzled about the oven operation. It seems that there is no thermostatic control on the oven. The oven knob adjusts the flame size and appears to have no control of oven temperature. I cooked a rib-roast last weekend and had difficulty getting the oven to stay at a constant temperature of 375 deg. Has anyone else figured out how to get an even temperature?

Welcome to the world of cheap RV ovens. Your best bet is to keep a close eye on your food in the oven, cook it a bit lower than you would at home so the small oven doesn’t burn everything, and use a pizza stone or ceramic tiles on the bottom shelf to help diffuse the heat instead of directing it all at the bottom of your dish.

I have never seen any type of oven that operates as you state. Every one I have had included a temp control knob and worked just like the one at home.

What model oven is it? I am curious and want to look it up online.

Our oven operates as the OP describes. I have an electronic thermometer to monitor the temperature closely.

I bought an oven thermometer with a remote probe and checked the oven. It works as expected but the temperature is way off, about 40 degrees low. The grate is also very close to the burner. I think that a proper roasting pan would help and I’ll set the oven dial higher.
