I just received a free thermostat from Dometic, same problems as you guys.

Between the bad crazy thermostat and the extreme air noise on a level of 9 out of 10.... I'm about ready to send the Dometic A/C to the junk yard.

I know this thread is a bit old but just in case anyone hasn’t been able to get help… I had my thermostat get stuck in Cooling mode when I needed heat. I read the manual and found and initiate mode that reset the thermostat and I got the heat to work again. I believe you press the up arrow and the one/off button at the same time to reinitiate. I wish I could replace this pos - it’s never worked. It drives me crazy. 2018 212QBW

I’m also having problems with my Dometic unit. Called Dometic, got online with the rep, they informed me about faulty face plates, while online trying to reset it my problem occurred again. They said it wasn’t a face plate problem but a bad relay on my circuit board.

I just got mine back from warranty service and having a second ac installed. They said it was a faulty thermostat and installed a new thermostat of the same faulty design as the first. What a frustrating problem for something that should be so simple to fix.

There is a way, it’s just not as simple as a normal thermostat replacement.

Found this online, have not had any issues with Dometic thermostat but seeing as how there seems to be a plethora of issues not just Jayco thought I better check on one.

While it's not cheap, I may very well change out our Dometic pos thermostat with this one. Thanks for the info, Jolvi.

Those Domestics are known to jump bw Celsius and Fahrenheit pretty easy. They are too sensitive to touch and anything brushes by them they change mode/function.

The old thermostat with the mercury tube would work longer than the house they were installed in. I really get tired of all the digital junk that doesn’t work. There are places there good old technology works just fine and eliminates much frustration.

We replaced our analogs with digital early in our rig with the Coleman Mach direct replacements. They have both worked flawlessly for over 10 years.
