Door glass shattered

Anyone have they door glass shatter when you shut the door? Haven't used my j flight the wholeonto of dec. It in and enclosed lot far from anything that could hit the glass. I went to ck on the camper. When leaving I shut the door as I always have and the glass shattered and fell to the ground. What's up with that. It's only a few months old. I hope Jayco will warranty it.

Did it shatter before or after if fell out? It is tempered glass and will shatter if dropped. If it fell out it should be a warranty issue.

Welcome to the forum. This is the first time I recall hearing of that happening.

The glass cannot fall out because of the way it's held in place.

I had a window broken in the storage lot. Best I can figure it was something thrown up by a weed eater. Seems like the door glass has plastic flange to hold it in place. Is it on the door or did it fall out too? If it's still in the opening does it have broken glass remains where the window was?

Storage lot is all cement. No weed eating around. Glass could not fall out, it just shattered when i closed the door. The mystery may never be solved. lol Thanks for your input

because of the way the Glass is installed, it can not fall out. It is sandwiched between two frames. Thanks

Maybe it was broken/shattered but stayed up in place until you closed the door.

I've seen car windows completely shattered but still in place... Until they hit a bump.

Tempered glass is very strong if struck on the flat sides. If you give it a little tap on the edge it will shatter. Don't know what happened to yours but maybe that will give you a clue. Here's a couple youtube videos on the subject.
