Door latch w/ keyless pad difficult

Anyone with the keyless pad have issues simply shutting the door and the latch engaging? When we shut the door we have to hold the handle; unless we hold the handle with the latch retracted it won't latch or close. Striker plate is correct, it seems to be the actual latch pin - it won't move inward to allow the door to catch the latch plate. Any similar issues and resolutions?

We are camping this weekend in our new Eagle. I have the key less entry also. The door latch was sticking and was not closing good. I went and purchased some lube spray. Sprayed the door mechanism and now it works like new. Well like it should. Did the other door just lubed the mechanism and that one works way better also. Good luck

I don't have the keyless lock and still had this problem. I tried adjusting the latch plate, but didn't help. Finally did what Donedroolin did and sprayed into the latch with silicone spray and now it works great. I think it just gets gunky in there aand won't slide correctly.

Hi, we also have the key less entry. It works find however this second season we now have to punch in the same code twice to make it work. Still using the same code from last year. As I explain to the wife this may take up to a dozen beer to figure out. Still waiting go ahead to solve.

Cheers

I wanted to update, a small smear of lithium on the door bolt leading edge and striker plate and a good squirt of high grade silicone to the inside mechanism fixed the issue. Thank you everyone
