drain fresh water tank

Hey you guys how do you drain the fresh water tank on a 2005 Jayco 185? I see 2 pull up drains under the sink that drain outside while using the water pump. And one pull up by the fresh water tank that just seems to trickle out. How do you guys do it?

Thanks for your help....

There should be a low point drain outside the trailer. Small white cap or a drain cock. They do empty pretty slow

X2 it will be under the tt, often not to far from the gravity fill port.

Low point drains will not drain the FW tank.

Look for a valve like this! It can be anywhere underneath the trailer but it's easier to see than get to in many rigs. Usually on a bracket behind the wheels on the frame.

Find your fresh water tank. It is almost always right behind the fresh water fill port (not the city water inlet where the hose screws into the side of the trailer and provides the pressure). It should be right below the tank but the tank can be several feet long so it may be a 3 or 4 feet in either direction from the fill port. To add to your convenience it may be located anywhere from a couple of inches to a foot and a half back from the outside edge of the RV. Hands and knees, maybe a flashlight. It should have a little petcock to open to drain the water out. A few have the shutoff in the trailer, well hidden but most that I have seen are under the trailer.
