Drawing a blank for roof sealing cleaning

Got a few holes in my roof sealant that I need to patch up this evening with some Dicor... What cleaner do I use that won't damage the roof on our 2018 26BH? Was it mineral spirits? Isopropal Alcohol? I used some one time that was suggested on a previous trailer and ended up bubbling the roof where it was applied... I don't want that to happen again. I am going to only apply to the sealant as much as possible but stuff happens (drips, etc.) Trying to be careful.

if it is just on the sealant itself not the membrane you can use either or acetone or a brush and dish soap... if it is on the membrane I would stick with soap and water and a brush... let dry then put on the sealant..

I used mineral spirits on mine, but I applied the spirits to a rag and wiped the sealant only, being careful to limit contact with the roof as much as possible. That was after I had cleaned the whole roof (including the seals) with soap and water (Murphy's Oil Soap was my brand of choice for my TPO roof).

A little bit of petroleum distillate on these roofs won't cause permanent damage, but if you were to knock the can over and have a spill, that could be a problem from what I understand. And you definitely don't want to allow it to pool on the roof membrane and remain for ANY length of time.

I think it's best I avoid it at all costs. I had a TraveLite that I did just that, used on a rag and wiped the sealant only. Just dragging the rag slightly across the roof made it swell, bubble and become soft. That was a slightly different material though but it made me learn my lesson. Just mineral spirits...
