DVD Won't Play am I Missing Something?

We just took delivery of a 2016 23MRB. We tried to play a DVD last in the Furrion stereo/tv system. The sound from the DVD came through the speakers and the screen displayed that the television was reading the HDMI but there was no picture.

Am I missing something or should I contact the dealer for a stereo swap?

We don't have the same components but had the same problem initially. It was operator error.

We had to change the signal input option on the TV for the video signal to display.

May be the same for you.

Thanks norty1. I went through all the source inputs and still no picture from the DVD player. It seems to work just like the Jensen system in our previous tt.

Same unit

We just purchased the same rig. The only inputs to the tv are the audio connections. The hdmi input has nothing connected.

Ronroamer,
Interesting. Have you tried to watch a DVD yet?
If the Furrion is anything like the Jensen system in our last rig the HDMI is the feed for video to the TV from the player.

Yes - I tried the dvd function and went through all the input set ups on the TV. No signal. I am guessing the favtory did not install anything but the RCA audio cable.

Getting into the back of the unit is easy but I would contact the dealer and see what they can do.
I'm going over to talk to the tech guy at our dealer today. He's going to walk me through it on a unit in the showroom. I'll report back if there is some trick to it but I suspect my player is not functioning properly.

Same thing with my 2016 and the hdmi cable was not connected to the back of the stereo. Pop off the surrounding bezel of the stereo, unscrew it and check the cable is actually connected.

Mine cable was bent and damaged so I put on a new cable and it worked.

Jmd,
I replaced the HDMI cable with a new one so I'm pretty sure that's not the issue unless we got a lemon.

I would then connect something that outputs video via hdmi to that cable and make sure the tv works. Only reason to do that is then I would then go to the dealer and explain what you did and that they can replace the stereo.

Ronroamer,
I'm wondering if the output on the player has been changed somehow. Just a thought. I don't have anything that I can hook up to it to test the cable. Hopefully the tech at Camping World will have an answer.
