Eagle Exterior bottom trim problem

My 2013 Eagle TT has the bottom dark brown trim piece coming off the perimeter of the entire TT. Tried to get the black trim piece off to put screws and construction adhesive behind to reattach it. Problem is the trim will not come off. Did anyone have this happen and suggest a repair for it?

I think the picture is upside down. I replaced the lower panel after a blow out. The piece was primarily held in place by just slipping it under and the lower screws near the bottom held it in place. There was a staple in the corner I couldn't see under the corner trim strip. I found it tearing out the damaged piece. Not sure how it would fall down unless screws are missing under the bottom curve.

Mine appears to have staples holding the brown piece up, but have pulled away. The black piece is what I can't get to come off to run some screws in the then recaulk the top.
