electric jack is stuck

My electric jack worked fine yesterday and now today all it wants to do it make a loud clicking noise when flipping switch up or down. I do not see any where that I could do it manually. It is 25 years old.
Thank you in advance!!

Could you take a picture of the top? A friend thought the same thing, and there was a level on the top of the housing, that twisted off to expose a hex inside. To look at it, you wouldn't know it came off.

Yes it does have a bubble level that when I removed it there were wires attached to it and no hex.

The click could be a relay. I'd open it up and see if a wire is loose after the relay.

25 years old in RV years is about 100 in people years.

If you shine a light into the hole you might see a 3/4 " bolt. Sometimes it is the same as you woumd use for the stabilizer jacks

25 years of use is nothing to complain about. They do wear out.
Time to go shopping!

Check both the power wire and the ground. Many are frame grounded and the bolts rust or corrode and I just won't get enough 12 volt through to work. Happened to me. I took off one bolt, polished the jack and put in a direct wire to the battery ground. Worked ever since.

X2 on the electrical connections - especially the negative line.

If you look closely, you may find that there is no "ground" wire, but that the connection relies on the bolts anchoring the jack to the frame. If these have corroded over the years, cleaning them up may solve your problem.

Well removed the entire top of the electric jack and this is what I see. It is not the same size as my camper legs.

So the slot you see is how you raise or lower the leg in the head you should see a bar that fits into this slot the moter turn the bar. Usually you are able to manually turn the compo ent by inserting g some type of crank into the top hole of the head. If you are curious take the top plastic off the motor head and see.
But yes new Jack's are inexpensive and very easy to replace
