electric tongue jack for 2011 Jayco sport 197

hello,
I'm shopping for a electric tongue jack for my 2011 sport model 197, i have called Jayco support and they said that diameter of the opening where the existing jack is installed is too small for any electric tongue jack and nothing will fit.
anyone out the has any experience with this? please let me know
thanks
lenny.

I can't speak for the 197, but my 226 had two holes the jack had to fit through. The upper one was no problem, but the lower hole was too small. About 1/2 hour with a half-round file solved the problem. Why don't you prop up the tongue on something, take off the jack and measure the hole(s) for yourself?

I believe these jacks take either 2" or 2 1/4" holes depending on the size of the jack. The smaller jacks tend to accept 2" holes, that info will be in the jack description. BTW welcome to the forum!

i will measure the diameter, but i believe Jayco told me that my opening is 1and 3/4". and i haven't seen any jacks with less than 2" diameter.
thank you.

If it is 1-3/4", a little work with a half-round file will make it 2".

Just make sure the bolt pattern is the same. I know the 2" and 2-1/4" jacks use the same mounting holses, but I don't know about 1-3/4".
