Electric Tongue Jack Protection

This is a bag I purchased to help protect the Electric Tongue jack from the elements.

This has worked great for me and Is cheap.

Thought someone else might be interested.

I might get one. But my trailer is nearly five years old and the jack sticks out from the shed in the weather and has not failed so far. Still, they look nice. I guess.

Out here in Arizona those black bags get way too hot in the sun.

I just use an old 2 gallon bucket upside down over the top of the electric motor housing.

I used to use a small trash can similarly. The UV got to it, and it began to break down. By the time I took it off and threw it away, it crumbled right into the trash can.

My new electric jack is a lot less susceptible to water intrusion, so far I haven't worried about it.
