Extension Rod for dump valve under slide out
The dump valve on my 32BHDS is under the slide out when extended and in order to dump the gray tank, I have to crawl under the slide out to open it. Does any one know if they make extension handles or rods that I can connect to the existing valve so I don't have to crawl under the slide out each time? Thanks in advance.

You could check the handle to see if it does unscrew from the rod If it does you then could get a coupling and a threaded rod to attach to the existing rod when the slide out is extended. This you can then make some sort of support for the extension. I don't know if any pre-made extensions are available

Our hybrid has a threaded rod, if I recall it is a 1/4-20 thread. Undo the handle use a standard 1/4-20 bolt to test, the buy a threaded rod at your hardware store, cut to length, add a couple jam nuts and if the extension is long, add a support.

Same (awful) design on my 31 QBDS. I am not sure why Jayco thought that was a good idea. I was going to just fabricate a hook on the end of a broom handle.

I hate where they put that, I have a bad back, and cant get under there, so my son has to do it, they weren't thinking with the plumbing under the camper, too many turns on the black tank and then the valve under the slideout.

I think Yardvarkers has the best answer. I wish Jayco would hire someone to use some of their designs to understand how awkward they are to operate. I'm convinced that no one from Jayco ever operated an RV that they built.

I use an old awning tool to open and close the grey tank valve on my 32BHDS.

I have been thinking about using one of those grabber tools. I think they sell them at lowes and call the E-Z grabber.

Funny, my son and I just came up with a solution today. We tried an old 3 iron from my golf bag. It's handle is long enough to reach the valve, hook it, and pull it out. Then just use the bottom of the club head to push it closed. Plus, now I can practice some swings while hanging out at the campsite.

food for thought, if you put a extension on it to dump cause the slide is open, when the slide is closed the extension will stick out to far and maybe break off if it hits something going down the road.

Same situation on the 322 FKS.
I keep a 4 tine garden cultivator / hoe in the storage compartment for this purpose.
I am considering adding the Barker Auto Drain.

I use the awning tool from a manual awning.
