Extra gas can (jerry can) mounting

Hey all, I'm about to buy an extra gas can (jerry can) and I was wondering, should I mount it to the rear of my RV or mount it on the truck? Where do y'all keep your extra fuel?

Mine rides in the bed of the truck along with the generator and other cargo.

X4. Somewhere, I found a plastic tote for the bed of my truck. I has a rectangular-shaped indention made just for securing a "Jerry Can". That indention sits inside a round indention designed for hauling a propane tank. Real handy, but (because of the design) you can haul one or the other - NOT BOTH!

Take a look at ROTOPAX https://rotopax.com/

They have a variety of sizes and mounting options. They even have a locking option. While not the cheapest gas containers out there by any means they are of good quality. Been using them for a few years now and zero complaints.
