1. Should the TT be disconnected from shore power and or the battery while making the install?
2. The quote by tafiche mentions a "Most important thing is to have an inline fuse at the tap"...how do you accomplish this?
3. Will this void any warranty?
4. I run mine on propane to preserve that precious 30 amp power. Does it work when fridge is running on propane?
1. Absolutely a good idea when adding any power accessories. Check twice before powering up!
2. You can buy an inline fuse holder at any auto parts store. A 1 amp fuse should be plenty. I actually wired mine to an empty circuit in my load center so it took are of it.
3. See above. Ymmv
4. Yep. Powered by your 12 volt system. Your fridge only uses 2 to 3 amps so not a huge power consumption device.

Just installed my fan today. I was fortunate to find a constant 12v wire inside the fridge going into the light assembly. I simply spliced into the wire . when I turn the fridge off the fans shuts down as well, no need to unclip it. We are heading to Point Sebago, ME for a week so I will see how well the fan helps with keeping the fridge cold.

I found out today that a factory installed muffin fan is in the outside fridge vent stack between the two vents. Shissh! I didn't even need the one I installed.
