Feedback on Jay Flight 23RB (Old 22FB)

Hi - For a month or so we are going back and forth over which trailer to get. We have narrowed it down to the 23RB which is the old 22FB. My only concern is 2 adults and a 70 lb golden that will be tripping over each other due to no slide.

From what I have seen/read Jay Flights appear to be a solid trailer but our truck can't handle a full size Eagle trailer. Due to floor plans etc that I like the 23RB is it or nothing.

Any feedback on the trailer / floor plan to help me make a decision would be appreciated. Of course our cut off for an order out is tomorrow morning.

Have you considered the whiteHawk 24RBS? http://www.jayco.com/products/travel...te-hawk/24rbs/

I have a 26BH (no slide) and I don't find interior space to be a problem so far. The 26BH and the 22FB basically have the same floor plan for the master bedroom and kitchen area, the difference being the rear bunks on mine. On our last camping trip it poured for two days strait so we spent alot of time in there plenty of room between the couch, dinette and front bedroom for everyone to spread out. It's me, DW, and 3 kids (7/4/1). There was even enough space for us all to watch a movie before bed. Plenty of room, IMO.

I have the 23 FB which I think is fairly comparable to the 22 FB except for a little difference in configuration of the bathroom. I was concerned to keep the size small so our 1/2 ton would handle it. We have never regretted buying it and for the two of us and two dogs, room has not been a problem. My wife was especially impressed with the cabinetry and felt there was no comparison with other trailers we looked at. I hope your acquisition goes well.

We have and have ruled it 90% out at this point for the following reasons.

1) The Jayflight appears to be a better built trailer. Higher GVWR, larger tires, better axles etc.

2) We were in a Jay Feather 24 T (same floorplan as the 24rbs) and boy did that trailer bounce when we walked in it. Was told that was due to the tires, suspension and axles. Granted you will have the stabilzer jacks down but was told the Jay Flight 23 RB (which didn't bounce at all) will be a more solid trailer.

3) I'm looking for a trailer that will last 7-8 years and I just don't know if the White Hawk will hold up for that.

Please note I'm not knocking the White Hawk line or people that own them. I'm looking for a solid well built trailer and I just don't know if the White Hawk fits that.

Thanks everyone for the feedback so far. Like others have mentioned we want to keep a smaller size so the truck won't struggle as much. A new truck is not in the picture for 5-7 years so a wrong move would be really bad.

The requirements are a dinnette on curb side and a couch. The couch is for the dog!

We are sticking with the alum sides since it will be outdoor stored in the back yard with no protection from sun, rain & snow.

Hey bunk190- We picked up a Jay Flight 24FBS (with slide) in January and love it! You might want to check out the floor plan and I pull with a F150 half ton. We also are just the two of us now with a dog and the plan is just the right fit for us and an occasional grankid or 2. The slide is the dinette and there is a jackknife sofa also. The front is a walk around short queen bed with full bath in back. Good luck and Happy RVing!

Hi All

We just picked up a new 2015 Jay Flight 23RB Wednesday, we love it. It is very well built, it tows very nice. With the jacks down and bal x-chocks it does not move at all.
We are very happy with it, we have owned 9 travel trailer and this one is by far the best.

My wife and I have a 2013 22FB and travel with an 85 pound golden. I feel we have enough room. the golden either shares the couch with one of us or will lay on the bed or floor. so far so good. Love the 22FB!

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Still didn't pull the trigger yet.......

Wayne G - Perfect. I guess I am just looking at the narrow aisles and honestly may be over thinking this way too much.

Hitch Pin - Why did you get rid of the Jay Feather you had and go with the Jay Flight? Aren't they the same floor plan?
