First Jayco -24RBH

Just bought a 2016, and we are trying to figure out several things...

First, The ladder is sagging, like the horizontal supports are not horizontal. It is probably sagging an inch or so. Thinking of somehow bracing it off of the square bumper.

Also learning that "Solar ready" does not really mean solar ready.

Lastly, there was an LCI remote control mounted on the wall beside the door with no model numbers or any other markings. The dealership where we bought the unit said it was a mistake and to throw it away, but the original owner obviously kept it and it appeared to come with the trailer. It also has a charger, but nothing in the manual or other brochures. This trailer does not have the Lippert leveling system, so what is this remote for?

We will probably be back in the forum asking questions.

Solar ready doesn't mean much aside from typically a two prong plug prewired to the battery.

The remote "could" run your slides (if you have any), awning, exterior light, and possibly stabilizers. My 2018 324 BHTS remote runs all of the above.

I thought it was fairly gimmicky and more crap to go wrong but I find I really like it.

If you know the passcode (try 0000) fire it up and see what it says and does, if anything.

Thanks!

I appreciate the suggestion and will try the “0000.” I see you are just down the road from us.

Best, Mark

I love that the dealers first instinct was just to throw it away. The remote should at least run the awning and exterior awning light. I don’t use it much but it’s handy at times.

Yep I saw that! We overbought the trailer for our F-150 (numerous valid reasons) but only really go from Flower Mound to Red River Motorcycle Trails up in Muenster....but always in the Denton area and now looking to move towards Sanger/Krum etc to have more space for all of my crap. 3 dirt bikes, a side by side, and 4 trailers...lol.
