First Mods...
Well, I have found my new obsession! After owning this 2019 287 BHS for about 2 weeks I have already installed.
1. A cheap battery monitor. Wired into the power wires for the radio.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
2. My Televisions. The 287 came with 2 Keblocs already mounted. The unit was already wired for a third TV in the entertainment center. So I ordered a Locking swing arm to mount in the entertainment center. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The only time I have to move the TV's is to pack the outside TV up for travel.
3. A Progressive Industries Surge Protector. https://https://www.amazon.com/gp/pr...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I decided to get the hardwired version after reading many reviews in this forum. I mounted it in an accessable area under the cabinet near to the breaker box. Installation was straight forward and quite simple. Wanting a factory look for everything I do it took a while to run the wire for the remote display but it was worth it. The install looks nice and clean.
4. I installed 2 of the screen door cross bars. I had them on the old Jayco and really liked them. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
5. Propane tank covers were added. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
6. I also installed a folding handrail on the main door. The second entrance will get one in a few weeks.
Many, Many more to come. Just needs to warm up so e can use it.

I got one for the looks. It dresses it up a bit. My two don’t paw at the screen.

Looks good... I also bought one of the folding hand rails for my wife.
You might put insect screens over all the vents too, especially the refrigerator, furnace and water heater. Camco sells them on Amazon and eBay.

I see. Here are our camping buddies on their new bunk bed. I will put plexiglass on 3 sides of the bunk so they don't damage it and a gate to keep them inside when we go on a bike ride or church. Also a fan in case th AC quits and maybe some type of internet/text message if the cabin temp rises for some reason.

This is what I use for remote temperature. You can plug it into USB or run off AA batteries: https://amzn.to/2RL6DXW
It can send you alerts through IFTTT, or if you AC unit can be turned on remotely through something like this, or secondary unit or heater or whatever you are trying to do you can trigger it using this: https://amzn.to/30UMrHb and this: https://amzn.to/2TWkihB
My RV has a window unit plugged into a "thermostat" that is plugged into a Wifi Switch so I can trigger the AC based on different scenarios or turn it off and on remotely. (WIFI on board). I have electric heat setup the same way.

We're you able to just screw the handle into the side? I've been thinking about this too for our 264BH but have been nervous about screwing into the side. I guess there must be sufficient framing around the door already for the factory handle.

I need a battery monitor gauge, but I don't want a cut a hole for a recessed one. Anyone found a surface mount digital meter?

Yes I was. The instructions advise to only use the 2 inner screw holes on additions like this and use the third mounting hole if it is being added at the factory and blocking is present. I mounted it with the top block just above the factory pull handle tight to the door frame.

My battery meter is supposed to be a recessed mount but I drilled a small hole for the wire and just surface mounted it over the hole. I used velcro but will change it to silicone or glue as it moves when touched and does not stay well.

I might but need to figure this forum mechanics out first. Kind of a pain resizing the pics each time to make them stay upright.

I don’t know why anyone would need to mod a new trailer. They’re already good from the factory [emoji1787][emoji23][emoji1787]
Lol! Keep up the good work

The folding hand rail is nice, but you might want to put an aluminum block on the inside of the hinge to prevent it from folding against the door while you are in it. Be a shame to be locked in.

Lot of great ideas to personalize your rigs.
I've got a lot of mods on ours. It was okay from the factory but it's fantastic now including the fan. Working on mods, inventions, options, extras is one of the best parts about owning a trailer. : )

Today I built and installed a pull out shelf in the pantry area and hung a garment hook on the bathroom door. More lights have arrived and I figured out a night light system for the living/dining and bathroom on a single switch. The bedroom will be on it's own.

Lol, you're just getting started! My Eagle is going into its 8th year and I'm still modding it out. Just put in a new kitchen faucet. Keep up the good work!
