First scratch OUCH!!

Well it's not new anymore. Pulling out of my spot in the RV lot I hit the mirror on the motor home next to me. I didn't break the mirror but I put a couple scratches on the side on my TT. Is touch up paint available for the Jayco Jay Flight G2 23ft? The only part that got scratched was the white between the 2 windows on the left side of the trailer (non door side) . I'm thinking of maybe getting some pin stripping tape, in blue or dark red to match the other decals on it and just stripping over the scratch.

I`ve got a few dings on mine. A new car or trailer is a magnet for scratches and dings!

We (ok, Don) put a ding into the side right below the opening of the front storage area while trying to put one of our WDH bars in there. It was our maiden voyage right after picking it up. You know somethin's up when you hear.... "uhhhhhhhhhhh, I'm.... sorry... but....". It's serves as a reminder to us to go slow and don't rush.

I had read somewhere that Jayco doesn't offer touch up paint because the side panels (and other components) come painted from their suppliers, but I could be mistaken.

After 1250 safe towing miles to Disney I put my first scratch in the TT while pulling out of the check in lane in Fort Wilderness.

First time out one of the kids let their bike fall on the front and put a nice ding.....then I had a tree branch fall and put a little ding on the front....but that doesn't bother me...what bothers me is this -- I had the roof of my barn blow off....it missed the trailer by about 1.5mm, but bent the gutter...I took a board and a hammer and was working the gutter back in....but didn't realize the other side of the board was touching the siding and put several good dents in it....I feel stupid every time I walk by and see it...lol....but at least the gutter is back to normal....

The mirrors would be auto dealer painted not painted by Jayco... try using the body paint code off the firewall

my first mark on my new camper was caused by design of front of TT, the propane cover is in tight enough it rubs hard on the very tip of the nose, no way to get around the scuff mark it has now that won't wax out that I got first day of having TT.

Thanks for the replies, it hurts when you get the first ding or scratch in anything new, I guess I'll try and find some decal or pinstriping tape today to cover it up.

It seems that no matter how careful we are things happen. You might find some model paint in a hobby shop that is close and then just use a fine brush and do only the scratch.

Went to PEP BOYS and got some inch wide black pin striping tape, put it on the scratch between the 2 windows, looks a lot better, I think I will have to redo it because it's not perfectly straight but it looks better than the scratch!
