First time owner

Hey folks, I just purchased a 2016 Jayco 184bh from a local dealer and will take delivery of it next week. It will be my first Jayco TT and I am really excited. We upgraded from a Coleman popup. Any thoughts on my choice and/or tips for a first time owner? Thanks for any input.

Congratulations on the new trailer and welcome to the forum. Lots of us on this site moved to TT from popups.

Congrats on the new Jayco. Driveway camping is always a good idea for the first trip. Or as I do, just pick it up from the dealer and head to a nearby campground.

Our three kids are all in there 20s now, the camping trips they loved and still talk about, were not the perfect ones, where we had everything we needed, perfect weather etc. Adapting and overcoming can be a great fun as well.

Congrats and welcome from Colorado

Most first trips are somewhat close to home base, but its not your first rodeo - just a different horse - have fun

PS> add some info on your signature line about your trailer and tow vehicle - helps when you have questions

+1

I agree completely, especially after the dust settles.

I've said it many times on here, but the most important items to keep at all times are these:

1) Good sense of humor
2) Positive can-do attitude
3) Credit card
4) Some cash

Don't take yourself too seriously, s#!t happens to everyone, the greatest difference is how you handle it.

Welcome, and congrats on the TT. Having done this ,too, The first thing you may notice is the difference in the amount of wind resistance when towing at highway speed. The second thing is the desire to shop at CW for more goodies that we all seriously think we need! What is your TV?

Congrats on the new TT. Like yourself, I upgraded last year from a Pup. You will have a ton of fun! Just remember that's why you bought it. If you've been camping with a pup you know things can and do go wrong. A good attitude is really all you need, plus maybe a little common sense. JOF to fill in the gaps and you are golden.

Welcome to the dark side, we have cookies and ice cream! I am also guilty of going to the darkside and some of the first things I bought were x chocks, leveling blocks, 6" torpedo level, RV awning mat, black tank chemicals, water pressure regulator, 2" gel mattress topper, new bedding, MaxII vent cover, AC cover, Trailer cover, collaspable broom and dust pan, carpet runner for the front of the couch & a dust mat for the front door not to menion coat hangers for the closet......my Champion 3100 invertorGenerator came shortly there after. We dry camp a lot with the occasional powered site. Have fun with your new TT
