Fixed soggy floor in 2015 Jayco 33’ RLDS

I noticed that we had a soft spot in the floor in front of the door of my travel trailer. I peeled the vinyl flooring back and could see that water was getting in. It looks like it had been leaking for a long time. It could have been leaking since it was new. The way my trailer is built is that they put the floor of the trailer on top of the frame. This made it easy to do a repair. It was pretty wet and the wood was rotted. We got the wet insulation, rotted plywood, and rotted 2/4’s out. Then we reframed where we had to, put in some extra floor supports, replaced the insulation and plywood. I recaulked and replaced all the screws around the door. I recaulked around the outside of the door. I recaulked all around both windows, bolts holding the canopy on trailer wall, around the speakers, and light. I also caulked underneath the threshold of the door. It rained today and so far so good. I will include some pictures if it will let me.

Do you think that the water was coming from the door? If so, you may not notice anything until your next pull through a driving rain.

Any chance it could be coming down the walls? Do they look good, no waves, bumps or mold spore bumps?

Either way, good job on gettin' 'er done! It's one of those things that you really don't want to get into, but know that you have to. Once you get going it isn't quite so bad.

It looks like light is shining through under the door.
