Good one,
I loosen the lugs some while on the ground. Pull the trailer forward on enough blocks under one axle so the flat clears the ground. Block all other wheels and brakes on. Put spare on and tighten lugs in proper sequence. Move blocks and release brakes and drive off the blocks. Tighten lugs again and then head for the tire place to get new tire.

Will the Rapid Jack work with the wide spaced wheels I have on my Whitehawk 27 DSRL?

I carry a bottle jack that has a capacity much larger than needed (safety and stability factor). Mine is a 20T jack. Can get a good deal at either Harbor Freight or Northern Tool.
I carry a small piece of 2x6 wood to sit the jack on and one to put between the jack and the axle.
A long breaker bar with the a 1/2 drive 19mm deep socket to loosen the lug nuts.
I have a ACDelco torque adapter that will fit the breaker bar using the socket for tighten the lug nuts to the recommend 100 ft.lbs. .
I also carry a piece of cardboard that I can lay down to kneel on while working.

I have a 2 ton bottle jack, the htt is just shy of 2.5 tons. When I lift the htt, the jack feels as it is struggling.

Except Good Sam will not come into a national park to change a tire.

I called Good Sam when I recently got a flat at Madison CG in Yellowstone NP.
They called back to say they couldn't enter the NP.

I ended up doing it my self.

When it happened to us the first time coming home from Montana we had nothing to change it with and our cell phones were of no help. But these great bunch of guys going home to Oregon with tools and et all jumped out of their vehicle and changed it. Before we could thank them they were gone. Then when it happened again in Maine we thought we were ready but found the berm was too soft. So this great guy from the Maine State Park ranger corp jumped out and fixed it one two. Then he was gone. So thank you to our angels. We have Progressive who says if it happens again? They have Flo and Jamie to our rescue. They are the only insurance company who will provide assistance to change a flat and put us up if something goes wrong with the trailer. Who knew. Now I feel better knowing if something goes wrong? We can call for help. We also have smart phones as well. Good luck.

I’m not the “Bandit” but will add my experience. I too have the Anderson RJ and found it will “almost” get a tire off the ground. Using some 2x4’s that I carry and the RJ on top it will raise the tire about an inch off the ground.
The only way to know 100% is to try it.
This is how I did it. I was in the storage lot and note that I park on 2x12’s which gave me a nice level surface. On the roadside with an uneven surface it might not work. What you can’t see is the other side of the 5th, I borrowed my neighbor’s RJ and with one on each side I was able to lift 2 tires at a time. I was shooting grease in the wet bushings on the suspension.

I also carry a 20T bottle jack which is my backup.

Thank You!! This is very helpful! I will have to add one of these heavy duty flashers to my toolbox just in case I ever need it.
