Flight 32 tankless water heater conversion

I just bought a Flight 32 with an 6 gallon propane water heater. I was considering swapping out for a tankless system. Has anybody done this or have any experience with a conversion?

We bought our trailer (Jay Flight 212 QBW) used and the previous owner had installed a tankless hot water system. Works great but, only works on gas. No electric option.

It is my understanding that a tankless heater requires more juice than a typical RV can provide, as it needs to heat that water right now, and why the units with a tank can use either gas/electric. I seem to have read this somewhere on this site just a few days ago.

You might want to ask around in the Class C and Super C forum sections. A lot of us have tankless heaters over there. A few have swapped them out for tanked.

The sizes of the tankless ones appear to be such that they're a slide-in fit with few, if any mods.

More juice than a tanked? I don't see how. The only juice my tankless needs is to run the control board and then spark the propane when hot water is called for.

More propane than a tanked? Perhaps.
